Having a good set up is key to feeling productive. Every persons needs will be different given their space, products they are making, and the flow of their workspace.  Below is a video of how I have my laser setup and the upgrades that I have done. Some thing that gets overlooked often as a general maintenance is cleaning of the lens. A dirty lens can dramatically change the quality or you cuts and engravings. Even worst a dirty lens can turn into a piece of garbage quickly if not checked routinely. It is a quick procedure that I recommend doing at least once a week and with increase operation time you will want to increase your cleaning schedule as well. The ramp test is an essential test when setting up any Co2 laser. This helps to identify the optimal focus for you specific machine. The only thing that is needed is some scrap material long enough to make a ramp and a sharp eye. A rotary is an essential tool if you are planning to do tumblers and other drink ware in your Co2 Laser. I have done a couple videos about the set up and use of the rotary. The principles in the videos can be used on other rotaries but the settings shared will be specific to my rotary, laser, and setup.
